chloé resort 2014
Love this collection... even the neoprene used throughout (and I'm someone who believes that said material should be used solely in the fabrication of wetsuits). The many variations on the wide-leg trouser, from high-waisted pant, to culotte to cropped, were all perfection and gave a certain ease of wear. Volume was also in the coats and vests, even the dresses. Footwear was a highlight for me, especially the neoprene-detailed slides, some with a gold ankle fastener "modeled on the cuffs that tether surfers to their boards". Geniusity.

Columbine's look is always flawless. Dope leather jacket? Check. Striped tee? Check. Denim with the perfect cut and wash? Check. Amaze Céline mules? Oh yeah.

jason wu resort 2014
The image of a palm tree immediately conjurs up in me the desire to cavort on a beautiful deserted tropical beach. The palm tree silhouettes Jason Wu used throughout have a similar effect (except I wouldn't go cavorting on a beach in these gorgeous clothes). The silhouettes are long, lean and skim the body perfectly. The bare midriff is a definite focal point for this collection (as it is in many other resort collections) and Wu makes it look glamorous.

All about sexy, body-hugging silhouettes, mixing textures and prints, and lots of color (including pink-tinted locks).
